Thread: 6mm ARC - anyone loading it?

Bought a Howa mini in 6mm ARC, some Hornady Black ammo at $50 per box. I'm now planning to reload. I've got some Hornady 103gr ELD-X projectiles.

Powder availability isn't great but got some BM8208 coming. Still need to get dies, again not much choice.

Anyone loading this one?

Yip i load for it. Not much luck with the 103 gr but 105 to 112 all very accurate. Also the 105 factory ammo you bought.
I have custom barrels though

Yeah, I've running the 87gr Vmax with cfe223 on goats and fallow. Gonna load up some 100gr gamekings shortly.

The 105gr hornady black ammo worked well on fallow deer, and actually done box velocity of 2750fps

Dont have one at current but I did some 107SMKs out of some. Flew real well.

Been shooting the 6mm ARC about 6 yrs, 103 ELDX is a great all rounder but I use the 90gr BT for pigs and deer.

Took my Howa mini 6mm ARC out last weekend for some thermaling action, 65gr OEP at a mild 3200fps as to not blow them up at close range, I have run them as fast as 3450fps.

1st fox was at 280m, longest shot for the night was 343m, removed over 30 paddock rats with the largest about 65kgs.
