but being such a fine grained powder, that 3 grns will easily fit...
its GREAT to see reloading data once again for a range of different projectiles given same load....common sence once more prevails...if not hot rodding load the difference will be sweet stuff all and pressures wont be over the top.

Mate have you got the page for 162projectiles? Just picked up some superformance and looking to cross reference a starting load.

You'll struggle to fit enough Superformance in the 7mm08 case to cause an over-pressure situation, even with a stupidly long 3"+ COAL

@SPEARONZ it goes well in the 7mm08. Best velocity of any powder I've tried. 162gr ELD-M @ 2690, 20" barrel...

    Perfect thanks

Yea I’m running close to 3” and 2208 leaves a lot of empty case capacity.

Staball 6.5 might be worth a go. With 120grain BT’s hogdons load data matched measured velocity in my rifle. 3090 fps which I thought was pretty good for a 20 inch barrel. I just looked up Hodgdons data for staball 6.5 for the 162 eldm and there max was 2 grains heavier than hornady for more velocity and 59000 psi. Maybe some cleaver marketing by hornady to make their product look better?

Ive been using LVR for the last 8 years in a bunch of rifles and like Superformance its a cracking modern spherical powder that works best for the heaviest of cartridge loads, I use it to push a 185gr 308 Win to 2700fps from a 20inch Howa Superlite (thats 30-06 performance). I could imagine in a short barrelled 7mm-08 anything 160gr and heavier would be a good thing. I think of LVR and Superformance like a SUpercharger that does all the early work yet you dont need to hit the rev limiter (peak PSI) to get the result.
