Have used palmer 308 brass, Robby Tiffen suggested magnum primers, as they are tougher, slightly more flash which is useful because the flash hole is smaller.
If its palmer brass you will need to adjust your decapping pin or break it. My Lee collect neck dies don't capping pins anymore, which is useful if pulling & changing rounds. Decapping done with a universal decapping die. I found I got slightly less velocity, but great averages of around 6 fps, and accuracy to boot, my 308 chamber is a standard
sloppy chamber so fiddling around with neck turning etc was not as useful as with a tight match chamber/ palmer chamber.
Bit of a waffle hope it helps.
