There will be plenty of BP hoarded in your district.
You just need to dig a little

Contact Holly Smoke via their website and ask who in your area might have stocks.
We are lucky to have a world class BP commercial manufacturer in NZ

Buy some 2 or 3 FG powder.
You can grind it finer for pan priming rather than buying 4 FG specially

    Good luck
this is awesome to know, thanks

I was kindly gifted this from a farrier i trained at the gym, Peter write Anvil, about 120kg. Has kicked off a cascade of hobbies leading to muzzle loaders haha.

Good to know i can just grind of the powder for the pan

@Dane Taranaki used to have a very strong Black Powder club but I can find no evidence of it now. Maybe all the members (except me) have died off?
I was a member for several years and we had a range on Mountain Road south of Eltham.
Otherwise, the New Plymouth Pistol Club appears to shoot BP (pistols) so that may be a source of powder.
Whatever you do, don't attempt to try smokeless, but I'm sure you're already aware of that.
