Ran it in and cast 50 bullets which weigh 335 grains in pure lead and mic just under .509"

Put them through the powder coat.
And trialing a new Silicon baking matt instead of baking paper

They coated nicely and will go through the .510" sizer in a few days when they are fully hard

These Silicon baking sheets are dirt cheap and rated for 220°C
Seemed pretty handy compared to baking paper
Didn't stick to the bases until the bullets were fully cold.
So just take them off before cold

    And sorry guys
I really did want the clear powder coat to be the answer !
    But it just isn't
It strips at express rifle speeds

Probably fine in a BP 45-70 and 38-55
But when you get it up to 1750 - 1800 fps in a Big Bore Express it just cant cope.
Ford Blue is still hanging in there though.

So there. I will continue to offend the purists and use blue

Only works because it's a Ford...

2207 is good for the 45/70 in Marlins
ADI says you can use any rifle powder down to 75% of case capacity. Case capacity is at the bottom of the neck.
