Yeah, tight margins. $270/1000 at Gunworks (and others) so Reloading Direct's prices are sharp. I bought 1000 205's off them. Saved $65.00.

I imagine freight on them is pretty steep being a contact explosive (dangerous goods dangerous air cargo?)

Sooo,,,US retail is under half wholesale. WTF

Still over $220 in most LGSs in AU.

I still smell a "middle man" rat.

At a guess if retail in US is say,,,abt $55, then reasonable wholesale is abt $35USD.

But to an exporter direct you NZ or AU I imagine it would be even less.

US wholesale to retail margins are generally less than they are here so $35 USD cost is a little light

Is this just marketing? I don't know. But NIOA has announced primer production is beginning at the Benalla facility.

Not sure if they’re for rifle cartridges or primers for larger munitions.

You might find a lot of their wage rates have gone up quite considerably, it seems the minimum wage rate was increased in many states, not the federal rate.
I was chatting to a few auto techs and some of the dealers are up to $180+ hr and their pay rate put's mine to shame, but you also find a lot of variances from one area to another.

I haven’t seen any 35.00/1000 primer prices here in the states for a long time. Right now they are 89.99/1000 at my local Walmart…I might find them cheaper someplace on line..but then you have to add on shipping and the haz mat charge. For a long time large rifle primers were very scarce..thankfully they are showing up again.

I’m just glad I had a good stash of primers on the shelf before the prices went crazy.
