Normally faster= wider blown pattern and slower = tighter..... Try both ways,as the actress said to the Bishop.
    75/15/10 black powder matters

The pattern size isn't the issue it's that it's high and right of point of aim

With a double that can mean it's further through the recoil cycle which means it high right for the right barrel
If I go faster it could/should be lower and closer to center

But there are a lot of variables to work through

Just made a brass base sizer for the plastic hulls because the brass bases wouldn't fit my chamber
    Sorted now

Try packing between the balls with sawdust it's supposed to cushion them and reduce the "in off the 8 ball" jostling when they exit

Home made BP is fine in muzzleloaders where you can increase the charge to get the velocity required to shoot to sights

Pretty difficult to get home made BP powerful and consistent enough for BP hunting rifles

And we are lucky to have world class BP commercially made here in NZ

You may be right about more speed being needed, 70 gr is only 2 1/2 drams that's a bit light. An old book I have has loads for buck at 3 3/4 drams. 100 or so grains should be worth a try on that basis

The plastic hulls for buckshot loads are a one shot throw away because there are some pin holes in them after BP has been fired in them

So I only have 20 left to play with until I find a good source of once fired 20 gauge 3" hulls
