We’re not talking homes land vehicles were talking something that has a retail price .and before you start even go their not GV and what houses sell for this is something that across the board is equal and has being blown up by an individual seeking profit, This is a community based forum with community based ethics and to jump on and rip the shit out of someone for pointing out blatant scalping (banded in other fields) is just poor taste in my opinion I hope your well stocked and never need anything I have to offer because I flat out won’t trade with you. All the same all the best
Yeah I am well stocked thanks for asking. Probably went too far in my response but just get sick of the whole underlying attitudes and sentiments. If you didn’t know a shortage was coming you must have had your head buried in the sand. It’s the old have and have nots. Personally I’m bored with it. Profit is not a dirty word. I don’t know you @Kelton and will probably will never meet you but if you do need primers sing out. Cheers

One last question. I’m pretty sure I’ve got a 1000 at home that I’ve had for ages with a $39.90 tag on them. If I chose to sell them should I only sell them for $3.99 per 100 ? Where does it stop ?

I believe your a good enough fella, that you would use your judgment at the time....fair retail price is just that..no one would begrudge that price being charged, you would be supplying a scarce commodity to "help someone out"
the idea gunworks have of only one tray per customer...isnt silly and its helping eke out supplies.

Kelton...I said years ago...and still stand by it... the SINGLE BIGGEST ISSUE with the housing market,is that people are in it to make money.... NOT a home, its an asset to be traded to make more $$$$$
no problem with someone owning a home and selling it and buying another....it the price goes up,well and good...realestate firms are raking it in,the higher the price the more they make....marketing a house as a "good investment" money to be made etc etc is the issue as I see it.
Ive swapped primers with folks on here to see them right....given away projectiles too for same reason....bottom line I dont give a flying fcuk how much $$$ i can make doing so...would much rather see someone right.same deal with some lambs I had spare.....
I bought a couple of scopes on here and resold them/traded them later..same price charged and I let origonal seller know I had done so.
nothing pisses me off more than selling something to member at "mates rates" so to speak, then seeing it put back up at much inflated price.
so far it hasnt happened...long may that last.

Another example ( albeit extreme) was late 2021 we were getting $5-6000 more for a 12 month old wildtrak done 10000kms than the rrp of a brand new one. Again supply issues. What is one supposed to do? Admonish the buyer for paying too much ?

Yea I noticed that too! But we’re talking 500% markup with the example random primers above

If you need some primers pm me your name and adress. Just promise me you won’t be wasting them on targets and will knock holes in animals. No charge.

Sorry I don’t deal with folks like that. I’m happy to wait for supply. I’ve got a flintlock mate.

    This is F**ked

Admins can we delete this topic/thread? I don’t want people on here chewing each other apart! Just wanted to access and ask a large chunk of the shooting community reloaders to not pay $65 for a hundred primers going forward (no demand prices come down)

Clearly there is yayers and nayers. Point(s) taken.

Going to a good cause though. Unless it's Coventry City Football.

I don't condone people selling primers for such high prices but at the end of the day, for some the cost is not crazy in the overall scheme of things, so I don't blame them.
For me it is crazy as I average around 200 rounds of pistol and or 50-100 rounds of rifle down range most weeks.
I buy in bulk and am well stocked due to being caught short a few times over the last 30 years.
I can imagine for the average deer hunter, a 100 rounds may see them right for a year / years.
In the realms of the overall costs of firing that one shot to secure a deer, $0.65 cents would be one of the smallest costs associated with doing what we do if your round count is low.
