I have 100V powder already for my 280AI so that would be handy one powder, do you use that load in a Adirondack? if so could tell me what the make up is please?

Can't go wrong with AR2209 aka H4350 for the 6.5CM. Magic combination ...

Sure is! I have been able to make extremely accurate loads with 123 and 140 Eld-M in my Creedmoor. Perhaps not the fastest for the 140 class bullets - Reloder 16 has a slight advantage there.

A good load that seems to work well (and may well have been the factory 140 load) is 41.5 grains of AR2209 with CCI 450 primer in Lapua brass with 140 Hornady Eld-M loaded to 2.800 overall. Should fit most magazines as well. I tried the same load with the 140 Hornady Interlock (slightly shorter OAL due to bullets nose shape) and it shot to the exact same point of impact!

2209 seems to be optimum burn rate for this case with 120 to 125 grain bullets. Should work a treat with the 129 grain Interlock as well - I'm very tempted to try them as the bullet has a great reputation shot at Creedmoor/260/6.5x55 speeds. And did we mention it's cheap!

Thanks I realized that i hadnt really given a good answer to the question why dont i stick to the 120 i use already other than it time to load for this rifle I have lost a Deer real close up in the bush as the projectile just went straight through as it was in thick bush and couldnt get a front shoulder shot. so i was wanting some more knock down up close.
there has been suggestions of 129 interlocks and 140 interlocks i will also bee doing some long shots at times with this rifle as it will be my Handy rifle
