Thread: gonna make some ammo to suit my 7mm-08

As we all know the roar is coming coming, so i gotta make some ammo. THats why I am here to tell you guys what I got to work with and and see what people would do with it.
Firstly I have plenty of brass , all once or twice fired .
Winchester nickel plated , Winchester Brass, Sako. Remington RP , Remington FC , PPU , Hornady .
And , 2208 ,2209, 2206H , R 19, N 160 .
And CCI primers , or Remington 9.5 LR
And these projectiles
hornady 139 SP interlock
hornady 139 BTSP interlock,
140 Nosler Spitzer,
Barnes 150 TTSX ,
Hornady 150 ELDx
Hornady 154 SP interlock
Sierra 160 spitzer
Hornady 162 ELDx
Sierra 165 Game changer
Barnes 168 LRX BT.

So heres the question ....I typically need to shoot less than 100 mts , but sometimes it can be out to 400 mts ridge to slip ( you know how it is !) What would you put together . Something that plants them at a hundy and then Maybe something that does it again at 400 .
Personally I favour the 150 ELD x , but have never been able to get my loads to match the commerccial product .
FYI I use 2 mossbergs , a patriot and a 4x4 . One is set for 400 on a Boyds stock, the other is set for 200 and carries a day/night vison scope, and still in its Nylon stock . Both have "extra" headspace beyound the standard COAL of 2.80 . Both "can" shot 1 inch groups . Shame though I cant !!
