42gn's 2209, pushing along either of the Hornady 139 Interlocks. Work up your loads as this is about max, and compressed. See which works best, the flat base or the BT base, and then have at it......all the way out to 400 if need be. And only if you use a rangefinder to verify it is actually 400.

Don't do that....42 grains is 5 grains underneath the starting load for 139 grain bullets and 2209.

I load 50 grains 2209 in my 7x57 with the 139 grain Hornady interlocks (Not the boattails.) Damn good bullet on deer, and the load shoots into less than an inch. I would recommend you try the same load in your 7mm08 - and then use it for everything.
