What twist rate is your barrel? Are you shooting a 6.5*55AI as per your signature?
If you were shooting only inside 300 yards any will work. The general advice of going lighter than 'standard' and driving them fast seems to be applicable to Hammer bullets as well. But going out to 500 means you need to pay more attention to the ballistic coefficient of the projectiles. That usually meant the Hammer Hunter, but now there's a new model in the range, the Hammer Hunter Tipped. There's been a useful increase in BC and anecdotally on the Hammer forums the tip seems to be a positive influence on expansion at all velocities. They do a 125 grain HHT that's probably the smart choice for shots up to 500 yards. You'll have plenty of capacity to get them moving fast out of an Improved Swede.
