Got a part container thats been sitting minding its own business for a while now
Anybody tried this in a 25-06 or 30-06 case with say 130gr or 140 gr projectile. I was thinking around 52 gr starting load but open to suggestions

pretty sure you will find it shines with the heavies..... some folks swear by it,others swear at it.....some have great loads ,others with chronicgraph say ES is erratic,where it works it works well but seems it has narrow band of use.
you will definately be able to fit heaps into case as its very fine like winchester ball powders...good and bad thing.
load data is out there if you look hard enough.

Yea read good and bad things about it. I remember someone on here got it to work with the .270 but mine didn't like it much.
I'll keep searching and have a play. Just figured in this day and age when components are hard to get, anything sitting on the shelf might be worth a go.

Should work ok in 3006 but burn rate too fast for 2506. Burn rate is similar to 2213SC

Not sure in the 2506 but works well in my 270 and 3006. With 178 gr ELD X and 58 grs of SF I get over 2700 fps. And accuracy is good.

No reason it won’t work in the 25 I load it in a number of cal that use slow burning powder.
It works well in the .270,.260,creedmore and the wsm

So you reackon 51 / 52 gr be a reasonable starting point with some 140 Gr Sierras??

I would start just below where you were loading for 2213. SF doesn't pressure spike as quickly as 2213. I have been up to 59 grn x 140 AB before velocity became erratic, but no leaky primers just the over-pressure ejector indent / bolt scrape starting

Unsure sorry but very similar to 2213 and if you find data for RL26 then top load of superprofrmance is about 1 grain less than a top load of26

Started at 50Gr and up to 52 so will see what happens. Maybe the 6.5 06 will just love it

50 Gr not so bad but things turned to shit after that. All 9 cases had primers flattened, as in real flat

Works well in my 260 & 270.

I would think you would fine using SF along the same lines as 2213 sc , the burn rate charts I have show SF slower than 2213 sc. Just be aware that it's sensitive to temp so a load in winter may be a bit hot in summer, to be safe load a grain or so lower than the max for 2213sc.

The 50gn load looks promising. Bolt lift ok? Any head stamp or swipe marks ? If not then flat primers might not be an issue.

I think the 6.5x55 140gr factory superfomance ammo is just over 50gr but the Hornady manual lists the max load at 42.6gr. The flattened primers may be a headspace issue.
