Done some more testing on the 135gr A-Tip's.
Killing power is good on goats from 50m to 500m. Most of the time you get an exit wound. Pretty messy inside and even if there should be no exit on larger animal it would be hard to get away with lungs and heart turned into red liquid. Would definitely recommend to avoid hitting shoulder bones though. Jacket and core separate usually which is to be expected being a match bullet I guess?
43gr of AR2209
Average speed in 20" Bergara for 9 shots: 2698 ft/s
Extreme spread: 26 ft/s
SD: 8 ft/s
Being the faster bullet with a better BC vs the ELD-X 143gr it needs less dialing and delivers more energy on target. But will stay with the ELD-X for now as slightly more accurate now that I have more groupings to compare, lower price and (maybe) better performance on larger animals?
Anyone else tried them out there?
I would very much like to see some autopsy photos if you could be so kind?
