I ended my “relationship” with YouShop several years ago. In the early days of their existence I had sent dies scopes etc thru them.
They gave me the big run-around with a small calibration weight that I sent via them.
I got the standard “we cannot send on, will return to vendor at your expense, or will destroy for you, please advise” email. No explanation. Fired off an email questioning why. They replied, “dangerous goods”. I fired off another email asking for them to explain why a small round block of metal with a tab on the top and a certified weight certificate in the box was dangerous goods. They came back “firearms part”. WHAT???!!! After a lot of toing and froing they accepted that it was a test weight with my intended purpose to check the calibration of my gems and precious metals scales.
I don’t believe NZ Post actually operate the facility in Oregon. I think it is done on their behalf by a huge company called OIA Global. Australia Post have their version of YouShop (Shopmate) operating out of the exact same address.
