Lee Reloader C style Press Capability?

    Morning everyone,
I’ve been looking at 1 of these presses, will only be used for recapping/ FL sizing 223. This press has lots of good reviews, but also found like 30 different pictures of them snapped off at the base…..
    Anyone have experience with them?

I use mine exclusively for decapping .
For anything else, I'd look for an 'O' frame Lee press to use alongside it.

Yeh, have one for depriving only.

Saw a video once of one being used to FLS 308. I wouldn't tho. Likely get away with 223 I think. Neck size only perhaps?

They were about $50 new over here abt 4 years ago. Man, has reloading gear gone up in price.

Personally, shop around for a better used press.

The one I use to deprime steel cased 7.62x39 seems to work ok. It gets a bit of a hard time if I do more than 50 at one decap session though.

I use one for 45-70 and 30-30. No issues so far and takes up very little bench space. Have made hundreds of rounds with it and it hasn't needed any maintenance or shows any wear.

I reload 7mm08, 7x57 and 280AI with mine. Just make sure you lube your cases as per instructions

Well, there you go. Don't judge a book by its cover.
35years ago when I started "C" type presses were very common. But appeared to be built much "heavier".

Then the "O" type sort of took over.

I think it buy and try in this case.

broke the head of mine . Threw it in the rubbish , very poor investment indeed.

    How did that happen?

OP only wants it for 223.

Find a second hand steel RCBS or Hornady "O" press and live happily ever after

Use one for FL resizing 223 (Hundreds) and seating various calibers. No problems so far.

Like most things in life you need to make sure you use enough lube!
