Load data for 300wsm and superperformance

I’m just starting out load development with my 300wsm, I have superperformance and 168 classic hunters. Does anyone know a safe starting load and max? I don’t have the hornady reloading book. I will be cautious also as have find with 180nbts and rl17/2209 I hit pressure pretty early.

    Any help appreciated.

Any chance you could see what it has for the 180s? At least then I know a safe start load

It appears that way, I see some of those guys having success around the 71 grain mark

Not sure for the 168 gr bullet but in the nephews Rem 700 with 24 inch barrel, 68 grs of SF gave just over 3000 fps with the 178 gr ELDX.
Using a lighter bullet you should be able to go a little higher.

Right, so superperformance works with 168 classic hunters doing 2900 at about an moa (could probably tighten them up a bit). However I bought a box of 200grain eldx precision hunter and was quite shocked. They were doing 2700 straight off the bat, I got a couple of ejector stamps but no flat Primers out of 15 shots. They were also more accurate. Below is a 4 shot group. Now to decide to stick with factory ammo or persist with the Berger’s

If you measure the OAL of the 200gn Precision hunters that gives a good start for seating depth. I reload mine with 200Gn Eld-x but use a different powder 4000-MR, not popular so I found it easy to get.
This is a target I shot with them each shot was 1 grain higher than the previous, ( From 61-65 grains powder ) Ended up using 64gns as in the middle of the loads tested.

Precision Hunter ammo was awesome but ...........................$104 per box of 20 was hard to swallow

In my nephews 300 WSM the load he settled on in the end was the 200 gr ELDX with a load of 69 grs RL 26 , this load has a COAL of 73.5 mm , 24 inch barrel Rem 700 average velocity was 2957 fps and we verified at 400 yards with 17 inches drop. Safe in his rifle work up to make sure it's good to go in your rifle.

Should have mentioned, mine is 20” so I would expect 150-200fps less than standard. I also seem
To strike pressure early. The factory hornady was stamping but all in all pretty happy with 2700. A lot of energy way out
