So I broke my old Lee Anniversary kit press on friday. I need one that will handle reloading a 404 jeffery, loaded round length is 90mm/3.5".
Thinking of Lyman crusher II , RCBS Rockchucker supreme, or Redding Big Boss.
Anyone got one of those?

Got the rockchucker and big boss here
Both are solid and allow 1 thou adjustments on the biggest cartridges so flex is not an issue
Smaller OAL ammo i use a RCBS 5 and a sinclairint benchrest press, all are solid bits of kit, no measurable amounts of wear on them yet but i clean and lube them every month.
Sinclairint BR press

Ive got a Crusher 2, its a solid piece of gear. Dont think me or the next few generations will be breaking it or wearing it out ;-)
Redding boss. For $200 odd notes its the bloody buisness. Got mine from Workshop Ino
Redding boss anything else is crap

have you had a look at the summit press from rcbs?
its a new level of solid

+ 1 on the RCBS Summit. Likely very much.
Thanks for all the comments, can one of you guys with the Boss measure the size of the opening to see what the longest cartridge is that will fit in there?
Thanks.
Both the original Big Boss and the new Big Boss II reloading presses have all the desirable features of the “Boss” reloading press, but are built on heavier frames with a 1” diameter ram and longer 3.8” usable ram stroke for reloading the largest magnum cartridges.
Not sure that helps. I'll be home soon so can measure
3 and 3/4" between the top of the shell holder and the bottom of the top frame. Redding big boss 2
Yeah I saw the measurements for the Big Boss, but can't find the measurements for the Boss, not even the redding website states what it is.
Basically 90mm from bottom of case to top. Mines just the boss not 2

Big enough for jeffery
Cheers @Gibo, I'll probably need the big boss as a loaded .404 Jeffery is a smidge over 90mm.
Big boss 2 is 96.5mm
Got the rock crusher if you want a look /play
I have three Lee Classic Cast, started with the 50 Cal one then got a normal one, liked them so much I got another 50 Cal set.
Big, strong & cheap.
No problem with the 50 BMG, 375 CT imp & even longer 385 Terminator
Have you looked at the new hornady iron press im looking at getting one in a couple of months after my Stewart island trip
Redding ultra mag. Plenty of space and plenty of leverage as well as being stupidly strong.
I've just read this enter thread as I'm in the market for my first press.
Just like to thank all for there imput as it has been most informative
Had a big day on Saturday on my Lee anniversary single stage (900 rounds). During the many hours at the bench, I did wonder how much longer it will last. Have had approximately 8,000 round assembled with it.
I have broken a couple parts in the part, but have some extra parts I've brought back from the US on various trips over the year. Will get a Progressive shortly, but will get another single stage too (maybe RCBS or similar).
Saturday's effort below:

Loading pistol or .223 for my AR on a single stage would do my head in.
You have certainly earned yourself the right to buy a decent progressive😆

I like my Lyman cast steel/iron.... but then I havent really used any others and I only load pretty normal cals.
I would not buy an alloy press of any brand.
Mad, I was in the same boat until a month ago, got the Hornady lock n load mainly for 9mm. Now i just leave it setup and jump on for 20 minutes on friday night for the weekends shooting.
Have loaded about the same amount on my same Lee and haven't broken anything, but don't use the primer system, but it is getting very gritty in the ram, even after stripping and cleaning it regularly.
Might be looking for a replacement single stage also
I have the RCBS Rockchucker supreme mkIV I think. It spews used primers all over the place but is very solid.
Now I have never loaded 9mm on a single (my very first press was a Dillon 650) but have a single for rifle and odd tasks - you NEED a progressive! Frees up so much time for other things.....
However, very well done on doing that lot on a single, and enjoy emptying them :)
Can someone post a photo of these progressive presses? I have a Lee turret and I only load for two rifles.

Mine on a messy bench.... 650 with case feeder.
Apart from a Hornady progressive press I once owned, I've had 2x Lyman Orange Crusher presses over 35 odd years of shooting and Reloading. I think that they are a great press. I've used mine for some pretty heavy duty case sizing and loading all manner of cartridges for myself and shooting mates. Thanks to the rugged construction they have always stayed perfectly in alignment. Last lot of 6.5mm SAUM I loaded, case neck runout was .001 and all my loaded ammunition bullet runout hovered around .001 to .002.
