Lol yea just read it, last lot they got they rang me with a price of $300+ for 284win but I spose that's what the market is like at the moment, workshop innovation is still the cheapest brass so far I've found. Crossing fingers that the pricing and supply returns to normal at some stage.
Cursed be the ground for our sake. Both thorns and thistles it shall bring forth for us. For out of the ground we were taken, for the dust we are... and to the dust we shall return.

I have just been buying new factory 308 ammo @ box a week for a bit takes the sting out of the price. Get to shoot it then have brass to reload.
I have enough SAUM brass thanfully to last at couple more barrels.

At those prices you would not wanting to be using hot loads and root your brass after a couple of reloads!!

just got last bag of 100 280AI from Workshop/Reloaders Direct. Think it was $224. Prices will only go one way for foreseeable future. Put name down for some 308 Norma too.

used to be about saving the barrel - these days you'd be lucky to find enough projectiles or powder to wear out a barrel - let alone brass

In the mid 70's Norma was the loaded ammo. But the projectiles were just too hard. Shooting had to be specific on deer otherwise there was a lot of heart ache. The brass was harder than diamond. I never reloaded until years alter but I can remember a privateer in the Ruahines in Maropea Forks who reloaded and complained bitterly about sizing Norma brass. Picked up his problem as well when I found the voodoo which was annealing.

I was somewhat impressed with Broncos pricing today of their little shipment of ADI powders..around the $150 per kg is not too bad given what some have been asking/paying. But I suspect there won't be much of a price retreat for a while.

I remember paying about $230 for 100 Norma brass about 6 years ago.....
15 reloads later, still got them and only lost 4....
So if your not running hot loads or careless when ejecting cases.....
    It's still a decent investment

You think those prices are steep.

    I'm paying $328 per 100 for 284win Lapua.

I won't be complaining once I get a new load worked up and twice as many reloads as my Winchester brass but still. Buy once cry once aye
