A few are getting a bit lose in the primer pocket. wondering if I load some with ginex primers as they are tighter fitting and try for another few firings? Anyone done this? Usually primer pocket expansion is caused by hot loads, brass quality or both. Don't think my loads are hot, by the velocity and the amount of loads the cases have had already had. Guess the expansion is caused by the amount of loads and the continued pressure.
Have done the primer swap to increase longevity, works fine

There was a guy on the forum advertising them or offering to anneal brass recently I think. I assume thats what hes brought but may be wrong. Also I think he said there was a $3000 annealer ie the AMP. Or less than 300 cases ie 300x$3.30 a piece.

Edit: its @johnd in this threads induction machine im referring to.

Haha, if my math is up to it you'd have to fire 13,043 rounds at $3.30 each to pay for the machine ... . But its never about the money to be fair . . .

If you paid $3000 for an AMP, yes.

If you can make your 300x $3.30/ea brass last 2x as long, that gives you $990 of value. Which exceeds the cost of an AIM

What do the guys who provide an induction annealing service, charge to anneal other peoples cases?

I think Tony from Tenpoint1 was around $25 per 100 cases including wet tumble (plus postage if not dropping off and picking up from Wellington), hardly going to get rich doing it. There are a few forum members offering it for free too.

A.I.M is the induction annealer I am building. The first 10 units are out there and in use. I am not trying to claim it is the same as an AMP, but it will do the same job. It requires you to be sensible about how you anneal just like many other methods.
At present they are built to order, and I ask for a deposit. If you would like more details just send me a PM with your email in it and between work commitments, building annealers and life in general I will do my best to reply.
Yes I was and probably still will call for brass that needs to be annealed, I test each machine before it goes to its new home.
My shooting season is about to begin so I will have a fair amount of my own brass to churn through (I reload for another shooter as well)

As far as cost goes, the price changes as materials go up, just like a house it was cheaper yesterday. I will do my best to keep prices fair, but i cant build them for free.
They arent $3000 but if you would like to pay that amount we can work something out.

My AMP would have annealed that number of cases in the last 12-18 months alone. I think I bought it about 5-6years ago.
