reloading .270 with 140g nosler balistic tip

Hi all, I have just started reloading for my tikka t3 .270. I have been using nosler 140g balistic tip projectiles and imr4831 powder.
I'm happy with the results so far. I was wondering if anyone else had been loading the same projectiles for .270 and what results they had and any advice etc.

    Cheers'n'beers,
    Max

Used 2209 in my tikka with the 140abs. Over adi max but no pressure with norma brass. Was getting 2990 from memory. Super accurate too

Few fallow and reds in close and a sika at 430. All sat down except the red who moved about 20m

Gday Max, good choice of caliber, and the 140's are a good all round load for the 270, allthough I prefer 150 LRAB or 150 VLD. I had a load going using 140 interlocks in front of 2213sc, quite an impressive projectile, I need to find my old notebook but from memory I had them going around 2900fps from a 20" T3

RE 22 @58 gas behind a 140 balistic tip gives a bit over 2900 fps in my 700 with good accuracy.

I had great results with 140gr ABs and 140gr SSTs same POI.

    ADI 2213sc 57 gr @ 2850fps in a 21" barrel
    Win brass
    Fed primers

I only run 150gr LRABs now as it has better long range performance.

@Gibo would you mind sending me a Pm with your notes, I picked up a new to me .270 stainless fluted Tikka Hunter. I tried some initial loads 49-53 gn 2209 and 140gn SST's. I got great group with 53gn and no pressure with Rem brass.

53 gr of 2209 turned out to be the ducks nutz in my T3 and my mates A-bolt. Went up to 55 gr, without any pressure signs out of Remington and Hornady brass, but it boots a bit much for me. His old man just gave him 2kg! of IMR 4831 so gonna go back to the beggining and start all over again.
