Thread: reloading companies to reload 7-08 for me

After some guidance on getting some 7-08 reloads done. I have brass and projectiles, and am keen to get a load or 2 worked up. How does this work, presumably the reloading outfit would need the rifle and components and would charge fees for reloading and other fees for validating etc? I had a look on Blackwatch website, but didn't see whether or not this was possible. Any idea of cost ballpark?

Possibility/probability of legal liability would likely prevent commercial reloading these days.
Maybe someone on the forum in your area might help out.

If you haven't already done it a visit to the Whangarei NZDA Branch could be worthwhile. There will probably be someone there who could mentor you getting into handloading. You miss out on a lot of the fun by not doing it yourself. Paying someone to load for you, if you can find someone, is likely not much cheaper than just buying new ammo.

Yeah, Custom Cartridges or some similar name.

Theirs bound to be someone up north I do it but I do it locally to save limited time not dealing with paperwork for couriers and having my safe full of other peoples rifles I’m pretty sure Jarod is Auckland based

Thanks Jhon and others, I have had a couple of very helpful PM's as well. I'm not so much thinking to save money, more to get a good quality round set up, to avoid chopping and changing in todays supply chain.....I used to reload using a Lee loader, for my 243 when I was a young fulla to save a few bucks and as I enjoyed the ballistics side of it.

I've offered this service for many years and still do. I've always had the following rule(s) for legal reasons of course. I'll only load for rifles I've done the load development myself, the ammo is rifle specific, ammo can't be resold and if any of the componants change the load has to be tweaked again.
