    Not tested the speed on the factory 7 08 federal, or my handloads on the 308 sst and 243 nosler 85 sp.
    Factory spec on he fed 7 08 suggests around 2650 fps mv

    How close did the 708 hit the the original holes?

    That's pretty lethargic so would suggest that is probably the answer.

    brain storming here maybe if you wear stiletto,s when shooting off the 7hoe8 you might feel better about it or if you get pissed about the result you could kick the hell out of the gong and put a real dent in it
