OJC2, no noticeable blast with the 22LR. There is one Aussie review on youtube where the fellas did notice some with the 357's though. Another reviewer had no problems, though he was wearing a long sleeved shirt for the tests.

Cheers, hit the wrong button, meant to quote reply. That's good to know, I was wondering if long sleeves would be a must. I showed a picture of it to my mate from the USA, he spent a few years here, his response, "wow straight out of the 1860's, the lengths you have to go to now eh?"

Yes not sure how big an issue it would be Let us know If it was a big problem, this thing wouldn't have marketed at all. I am thinking it would be a workable solution worst case, maybe even just wear a forearm guard like some sports do.

Many years ago I just about removed a finger trying to clear a locked up revolver so I know all about the gas cutting from the cylinder gap, I certainly won't make that mistake again. I guess my arm won't be hard up against the frame so should be ok. Hopefully I'll get a chance to let it off next week.

Can confirm significant side blast. It looks like I have measles and was enough to draw blood. Long sleeves are a must, as are safety glasses.

Bloody hell! thanks for the report. I owned a Rossi circuit judge recolving carbine in 45colt about 6 years ago and interestingly the blast was minimal. I guess lower pressure case less powder and Rossi might have had better shielding as well.

I'll give it a go with some .38special and see how I get on with that but yeah will be wearing long sleeves with it from now on haha. It really is a blast to shoot it though.

What was the accuracy like? online reviews show some pretty good accuracy with ammo they like.
