@gundoc back in the day, Spiro and I would have a comptetion to see who could bring back the least rabbit. He usualy won with the 110 grn 7mm Rem Mag.I would do ok with 70 grn .243 but had to stick with headshots.

He has always favoured the "bigger is better" option! We were shooting together a few weeks ago and he hasn't changed, still enjoying life.

Agree Winchester Power Point is very good and my go to 22LR ammo.
Yes you can probably get faster ammo but the Power Point projectile seemed to do the job very well.
I think those two boxes are just an upgrade on packaging?

@Rusty59 if you arr referring to the powerpoint in black boxes on sale lately that is made in America and no where near as goof as the stuff made in aussie.
The aussie plant closed several years back

@grandpamac I don't reload 22 LR and 22 WMR but I do reload 25 RF, 32 RF and 44 RF
And about too reload for 50 RF

I dunno, can't comment on clotting agents but I have seen hares solidly clipped go for 6 paddocks and then try to swim the Tukituki river. Yes we lost both of them. They can run for a bloody long time when their blood is up, very tough critters. Both were .22LR old orange brick powerpoint, both impact sites were able to be found with fluff and blood so assuming a chest hit and the animals were running on adrenaline. Both should have been dead on their feet...

22.250 imp firing 50 gn of anything= skin only left behind.

Thought I had missed completely once, having shot a hare behind the hut we were based at. 75m shot. Looked everywhere.....till I spied a kidney swinging in the breeze attached by a ligament to the manuka shrub he had been hiding under

Eventually found the skin with 4 paws attached. Everything else had been vacuumed off the skin
