    Wild pigs in suburbia

Not sure what the solution is, but I'm sure some high velocity lead would make St Bathans safer....

Lol.Karen has struck again...what happens when non rural folk live in rural area.now if you were to go there and shoot said pigs.the local busybody would scream blue murder and armed offenders squad turn up.if you used dogs it would be SPCA. I recall catching small pig in middle of Tokoroa...of all the driveways to come up it picked ours...bad move, dad ran VERY good pig dogs.

    St Bathans isn't really suburbia

It's a few baches and approx 110ha of DOC land that is mostly a pond, in the middle of about a million ha of freehold and pastoral lease farmland

If its a problem for the locals, there enough pig hunting clubs that they could offer accommodation too, for a weekend hunting to help with the numbers.
