First of all I must start of at saying I suck at story telling , but as it is my first decent size pig and with Scott egging me on .... Here we go then.

But lets back up the bus a bit and give credit where credit is due, a huge thank you to Scott and Justin and of course their brillant dogs for letting me tag along with them... On there weekly Sunday = Fun day hunt.

Well I was up at sparrows fart.... 430am , you would never get me up that early for work but hunting its a different story.

Well I have hunted with Scott and Justin a few times before at spot x =NZ (and thats all you getting out of me !!!). As I have no dogs , no experience and basically free loading. I always pack the boys a feed, coffee and the obligatory cold beer for afterwards.... Well so far it seems to be working as they keep allowing me to join them hunting.

We were hunting by just after 6am.... I got to admitt Scott, Jason and there team of dogs know their stuff and we usually get something but as of late nothing to right home about. I felt that today was the day it might happen as we started earlier than normal to try and get the dogs out of the heat of the day. Lets just say I hoped we would get one today as otherwise they may have thought I was jinxing them and not invite me back.

Well , well with in minutes the dogs were off and barking.....here we go I thought.. As it sound like some loud agressive barking to a novice like me... But alais the pig broke free and took the dogs on a merry go round chase for a few kms.... Its great having tracking gear, the pig hunters in the day must of been fit hard bastards.

So Scott and I jumped into the ute to try and catch up with the dogs as they were a couple of km away, just incase they got the pig and we could stick it or pick them up if they lost the pig.

Justin waited were he was incase the dogs back tracked to where he was.....And just as well he did..... Scott phoned Justin my dogs are heading back to u ......

Nec-minute Justin goes F*%K get back here the dogs have bailed up a pig and the gun is in the ute with u guys.!! So as Scott trys to brake the land speed record in a hilux.... Im starting to get amped.

Justin is waving us to stop as the pig at this stage is 50 meteres below us, I jump out and like a muppet novice slam my door shut( sorry Justin) f*&k if looks could kill.We were lucky and the pig didn't run from all our noise and comotion.

I gave the rifle to Justin , and legged it after Justin with Scott in tow behind me. Crashing thru the bush tripping over and just baically trying to stay close to Justin I lost him for a minute or so...

Then I hear all the comotion and barking and Justin yelling something, which I thought was hurry up u useless bastard!!!!

WHich in fact was "no hurry lads the dogs are holding the pig."

So after diving under and over trees running thru corse I finally get to the action. Justin is calmly sitting on the bank.... And says words to the effect "get in there boy thats what you came here for."

Well I didn't want to be a pussy about it so I literally jumped in the muddy little wallow with the dogs and boar , then I heard Justin yell not the Front it has big tusks get around the back u idiot!!!!!

Grab its tail and stick it Justin and Scott are yelling at me!!!!!!!!

SO I DID ... Job done...!

Short carry up the hill back to the ute. Now its 730am job done , photos taken pig gutted all over rover in 1 and 1/2 hours .

Thanks boys and dogs for an awesome day. Im sure I will never foName: Pig1.jpg
