don kiddy used a .222 but mainly a 243 on the reds in whirinaki and urewera. he did it for a living and shot not hundreds, but thousands of deer. he liked the 243. there must be something in that. true there were a few more deer around then, but they were out there doing it consantly, and that bush apart from a couple of areas dont have nice clean open tops, its all bush

Clearly he didnt hit it right or was using shit ammo. Shoots a stag then wants to go for the hinds with it, deserves to get away. Im sure the stag didnt go far, maybe his tracking skills are crap,
