I actually have this problem for myself. I take a men's size 7 which is very hard to find, I wore a pair of blue ladies scarpas for years and managed to get a pair of 7 Sportivas in bivouac when I need a replacement, these will probably need replacing next year too. But these are my full shank boots for taking crampons. For my light boots I wear Grisport hikers a great boot at a good price.
And don't talk to me about socks most men's socks that are supposedly my size certainly are not.
I shot my last goat on Friday wearing my Hi-vis work shirt under a 20 year old Kathmandu down jacket and shorts. I own no camo clothing, I might when things need replacing but as always budget is everything for me.
