Midway and Creedmoor have them but will only ship to US address.

In any event there are plenty of other projectiles that all perform within a whisker; the heavy ELDM's and Targex. And the 52-60 grn Hammers (but spendy).

The best utility bullet I think is still the 80grn Targex. Excellent on deer and not too spendy for wallaby and things. Easy to get to shoot.

I thought about bringing some home with me from the US (currently over there) but it turns out I would need an export permit, and it got waaay too admin intensive for a few packets of projectiles.

I’m just going to stick with the ELD-Ms from here on, as I’ve optimised my setup for them. They kill just fine too.

    Man I love this thread.

Evidence based, an increasingly broad base of contributors, lots of different rifles, projectiles, different deer species.

    Photos, videos, detailed descriptions.

And yet if you were to believe the typical American YooToober, we are damned to hell and beyond as unethical, irresponsible, uncaring, the very scum of the earth. And we use match bullets! Zero chance of redemption!

I’ve tried to discuss this with a couple of American YooToobers, but they just delete my comments. this is why everyone appears to be agreeing with them!

I'd be interested to try the 77 TMKs but the 80 ELDMs just work so well and are substantially cheaper (and available) (and I have a large stock) (and I can't be bothered doing load development) (and I still have 80gr Targex to test)

I see there's a new Hornady 80gr ELDX, that could be interesting if people are worried about the "splashiness" of the match bullets. Might try some when they arrive. There's also the 70 Accubond, 75 Scirocco, etc.

Seen a bunch of reports from a 22cm group im on and they seem to kill very well and exit.

From personal experience and that of others that have used both, the ELD-M is better than the TMK for close range hits- it’s slightly less ‘splashy’ . The TMK has a slightly thicker jacket, but a bigger hollow point behind the tip hence it is more reliable at low velocity. There’s sweet f-all in it though.
