@7mm Rem Mag those 62gr hornady are a very attractive price for a cheap-arse like me. What have your terminal results been like?

Hi mate, I have had great results with the 62gr hornady, not only is it deadly acurate .4 of an inch @ 100 meters but the terminal damage on deer has been quite remarkable (can do huge damage).
I have tried all the fancy pills and they too work great but I don't find them any better than the 62gr hornady and those bags of 500 projectiles are great value.
When hunting think safety first
I'm using Frontier 5.56 mm factory ammo loaded with the Hornady 62 gr. SP in a Troy 16" barrel.
Shot lots of goats, some pigs and a couple of fallow out to 150 yd. Almost always exits goats, smaller pigs & smaller fallow with chest shots. Shows good expansion.
I'd say it's every bit as good as the Hornady 55 gr SP with slightly better penetration.
This evening, 150 yards or so. 60 grn Hammer Hunter (3150 fps). Lung shot and passed though. Ran about 50 yards.

I shot this using the new Sytong Day/Night scope. It was just on dusk and in colour/day mode. Nice clear image. Shooting it at 150 yards over my pack was easy peasy. I also scoped a few deer on my way home using the IR. About 150 yards and every bit as clear as the Zulus.
I haven't figured how to use the vid yet. Thats my next thing.
