I've got plenty of superformance, I'd like to keep 2209 for the wsm. Also have 2208, IMR 4064 and IMR 4895 (not much of the IMR powders).

Threw together a load with IMR 4064 and 65 vmax that i had in the cupboard. They are screaming out of the 20 inch barrel at 3550 fps, not a max load for a change.

I'll get some heavier pills this week as that's what I plan to use.

Been wringing my hands about letting some rifles go so I can kinda justify getting some new kit. If it’s not being used, then…. But balls to that.

Decided to keep the Howa Hogue .243 which has an honorable mention in dispatches from 2016-2019 when it was used very successfully on several goat culls, as well as taking a good number of reds and a few fallow. I found a 50 box of 75gr V-Max I’d forgotten about so dusted them off and got it zeroed in four with a couple more rounds over the chrono to make sure.

200m zero, shot 1.35 MOA in the breezey conditions (to say the least, jeez…). That’s -1.5” at 100m. 3,275 ft./sec. Lines up perfectly with the Weaver Grand Slam EBX reticle. This load was - quick holds, great scope for the job, very deadly projectile. Will be the goto rifle for a wee while I suspect, I like it again.
