    Go with a bow ( I can come with mine one day if you want;-) and let see if they are pissed of because of the gun or because we may arm bambi in the woods.

    You can also legally hunt with a crossbow, which is also not a firearm, so technically you are not trespassing with one!

    Sounds like bollocks to me if you start pussy footing around before you know it theyl have all sorts of stupid rules that in all likely hood they cannot enforce , if you sell land it is a legal requirement that there is access to it id liken it to a shared driveway .

    JasonW, you might need to expand on whether current access is via a legal easement or just a verbal agreement.
    The advice to keep it as amicable as possible with your neighbour is spot on, however if the property has legal access through the neighbours I'd be surprised if they have grounds to restrict your access in any way.
    I assume the forestry block has its own title? Or, are only the standing trees owned by your dad?
