Thread: Albert burn Wanaka roar block

Just wondering if anyone has an info on the block. Have drawn it for 24th-30th March, was thinking of getting dropped on the tops and working our way down to the hut. First Time Wanaka roar block so any info appreciated thanks.

Good idea , the wind almost always blows up the valley during the day and it can make hunting the side valleys hard as by the time you climb up to them the morning downwind changes .
should be a few stags dotted around , plenty on the sunny South side but the scrub is very thick , the bush on that side is ok though.

Appreciate the info mate, at this stage will probably stick to one of the middle north-south runnning ridges. Any idea who the best heli company to go with would be?
