I just think credit where credit is due, its a damn hard climb they all did.

I read the mag to.
Bit ambivalent about it it was about the climber.
But then you begin to wonder if anti hunter.
Yet most trampers I have met are ok with hunters.

Hey Greg, can you tell me what happened last night with those two good solid shots that missed.
Did a screw come loose or was something damaged in a fall.
I felt gutted for the lady in question as what a mission to be foiled by a gear failure or damage.
Love your show!

Great show last night, you guys must eat a lot of tahr meat with all that climbing for days on end.Bad luck with the SCOPE missing the deer, the young lady followed those shots thru like a pro shooter.
Someone - and no one has owned up to it - had dropped the rifle bad enough to actually bend the scope tube just in front of the front ring - as I found out when I got the rifle home! It wasn't a gear malfunction as such, just bad treatment! As you say, Hannah pulled off 2 great shots, following through like a pro. Both her shots went in exactly the same place - low and left, and when I tested the rifle on a rock at the same distance straight afterwards, that's exactly where it hit. The rifle had just been on the trip with Luke where he shot the 12 pointer and carried it out in the latest issue of the mag, then straight in to our trip, where Scotty carried it on his pack for 6 days before the shots. The rifle also fell sideways on the bipod when I was setting it up just before Hannah fired her 1st shot, but that certainly wasn't enough to bend the tube.
So really bad luck for Hannah, and we seriously owe her a good wild country stag in the follow up episode we'll film this year!
Thanks for the update Greg. Just goes to show this sort of thing can happen to anybody, that's hunting. A bit like the stag you missed a couple of years ago in my neck of the woods, you then took the opportunity then to walk out a bit and re-sight, but no chance for Hannah on that trip.
Swaro was'nt it?
Whatever likely dates it might have been (allegedley) dropped I have an alibi...

Thanks @GregD for the explanation.
I have to say i have marveled at the accuracy of the rifles used in previous episodes so was a bit surprised by last nights events.
Gutted for the shooter, she deserved a different result no doubt about it. What a champ !!!
I'm sure the tables will turn next time [emoji106]

Ouch, bent scope sounds expensive. Must have taken quite a whack to do that. Was there a obvious dent or mark?
What a great adventure as always. I really felt the disappointment for Hannah, boy did she earn the right to take that stag. I know plenty of hunters who couldn’t fathom working so hard for an animal. Love it
Another cool episode, certainly not high animal numbers in the NP, a nice stag, the head is very similar to one in my garage that I got a few years ago.
Will there be a duck hunting episode pre opening this year?highlight of the series ii reakon.great show.
Stags 1st,Drakes 2nd.lols
The same Stoney Creek Tech Talk since what - 7 seasons? As soon as that comes up I change channel, sorry.
An absolute wasted opportunity
a.) from a business perspective to reach their core customers at prime time and showcase their full product range
b.) and for us customers to get educated on new trends, products and solutions but instead getting tortured over and over with the layer talk
I bent a 3-9 Z3. Sent it back to the factory and they repaired it for free (or replaced it, I never could tell). Great service.
I sent it direct rather than through the NZ agent.
There’s a reason you see the crew in a lot of RAB gear over Stoney Creek gear in the current season.
Have just been catching up on latest episodes and watched Luke smoke that character old stag last night. Awesome hunt and a great explanation at the end about why they left that nice stag etc. I’m sure there’s plenty of eggs who have probably watched the episode and gone it to try find him though no doubt.
Is there an episode tonight??
Guy Martins world war 2 is on one channel and Secret Nazi bases on another both 8.30 tonight
