@jono7 Over the years I rarely carried a first aid kit unless I was on multi-day trips however I learnt a lesson one day when cutting through the front knee joint of a hind and sliced my thumb open. Now, even on the shortest of trips I carry a very well-equipped first aid kit. Mikayla enjoyed the benefit of that experience as I was able to close up the wound with steri-strips right away and keep it clean. The hospital was impressed.
Have the dog stapler for emergencies, puts most off.
