Thread: Anyone hunted Nordic?

I've started looking at hunting Norway, Sweden or Finland. Anyone done a hurting trip over there? Would be interested to hear about your experience.

From my initial investigations it appears possible to hunt big game over there if you have help from a local.

Seems like a great place for an adventure in a pretty cool part of the world.

Could be a good option for a Moose hunt if that's on your agenda. At least have read of mainly Americans, some with Nordic backgrounds, that have Moose hunted there sucessfully. Body sizes are similar or slightly smaller while antlers are quite a bit smaller. I reckon it would still be a cool hunt though. Depending on actual country not all big game is taken in driven hunts. There are hiking, spot and stalk possibilities too.
And, I think you're right about being connected with local hunters and hunting clubs to engage in legal hunting.
