    Aussie for Sika

Hey guus. Im popping up north later this week or so and wondering if anyone would be interested in taking an Aussie out for a hunt in the Sika Country?

Il be stopping in Masterton but have a source of travel up to around the Taupo area on weekends and able to be retrieved the following weekend , ive been hunting Solo down south on my own missions but would like someone ro hold my hand in the ju gles of Sika country..

Now Im not actually interested in Killen anything, or ya secret spots or Trophy racks..mostly a North Island wet the whistle wander in the North island somewhere Sika-ish . Meat mission or reccy trip etc.

Im open to anywhere thats accesible from the South side of the Island and happy to pay Fuel money/Beer etc.

Failing this , Ive got my heas in the Spot X book buthave no Idea on the North access etc.
    At worst case
Some pointers to do a few nights solo would be cool ? Perhaps around Taupo or to the South??

PM if you have time off between now and 20 May and wouldnt mind a passenger etc?

Return favour includes Victorian sambar oppertunities.

    Cheers

Try the southern access corridor into the Kaimanawas

Good animal numbers and epic country

Southern access is a drag. On other side of road or Clements, unfortunately I'm keeping tabs on your spots but if I was in the north island would be glad to take you to my favourite spot which incidentaly is off Clements Rd. Pm perrazi as I think he's keen on a swap.

I was on the corridor recently and saw 20 sika for the day

Might have been just over 20

Had heavy rain on the way in then just a light drizzle for the afternoon

When the weather turns the hunters go back to camp, the deer come out

Just get into clements man. Walk an hour plus in and make camp then get into it. Not particularly difficult bush or country to get around in.

That or cruise in to oamaru and hunt up the kaipo. Longish but very easy walk

Anyone can find the road but not everyone knows where I hunt, so you are going blind. Good luck with that and count the whistles.

    Update.

Looks like a stumbled upon a great week to spend in the Infamous Clements mill road area of Taupo...

Thanks to everyone who offered advice, a hunt op , blaclfern fir the pick Up at rendezvous point a shower and warm bed...and just anyone pointed me toward the Queen street of The North..!
Quite alot of traffic but not alot of shots, alot of sign found daily of reasonable populatipns of younger deer 

I seemingly found most of the thick difficult areas to waltz around in but that is part of my adventure and some ofit out of my control.

I did poke a hole in my first Sika...
Will post a photo an story on return.

Ps-- not sure if its the Deer that are so difficult or the terrain /landscape they live in 

Anyway, A warm supressed 308 barrel hooroo to yas
