Thread: Best communication device in thick bush - Garmin Rino?

Just wondering if anyone has any reviews on the Garmin Rino? I'm heading into the bush with two more "senior" hunting buddies and UFT radios don't work. We already have beacons for emergencies but just want a way to communicate if say one of us got something late and was going to be late back to the hut so the rest of the party doesn't have to worry that one of the oldies lying injured in the bush. Anyone used the Rino and does it work as a communication device in dense, hilly bush if you don't have line of sight? Any other options you've used that are worth investigating?
