Thread: Best goat hunting within a few hours of Auckland?

Yea north end, north of the hut is the best hunting. There are plenty of goats on the steep north faces watch the clearings early morning and evening and I have found them in the gullys mid day. Be very careful in there after rain as it can be very slippery. The farmers name is Dennis Deeming his number is 09 4323779. From the road end the track to the hut is well marked and easy going mostly. The best hunting is off the track, so many times ive met hunters on the track or back at the carpack and they never saw a thing when id seen a dozen or so goats, asked them where they went and turns out there idea of hunting is stalking the track into the hut and back.
