Thread: Blue Mountains - Lost and Found

Has anyone lost a loaded magazine in the Dunn Creek block down in the Blue Mountains.

I lost a tikka 3 cartridge mag full of 6.5x55 S&B brass, but that was on the dish, lot of it going about

The comedian in me wants to know if finding this comes under the major part supply provisions - activating circumstance for registration haha. Yeesh

Good on ya though, must have either been pretty lucky or eyes like a hawk. I saw the remains of a .303 a while back, a guy was lucky enough to find it in a bush block in true relic condition. Bet that could've told some stories!

Found a .303 no bolt rusted up on the Tapanui side of the hill. Climbing up through some slash it caught my eye the stock timber was too smooth.

Probably should post it on the Otago NZDA website, they are the main users of the place now.
