Try going up the top right on the doc website and changing it to "topo" maps.

Walking access mate, shows doc land. You can also view areas as a Topo or satellite which is handy

I downloaded the Kmz file from the DOC site.
I GoogleEarth the areas display as brown blobs.
Does anyone know how I can change the colour to something other than brown
Hunting is relaxing just like Yoga except I get to kill something.

The DOC online GIS mapping site has layers you can turn on for open hunting areas as well as general conservation land. Can switch/fade background between satellite and topo view, quite handy.

You can't change the colour of the brown shapes in that kmz file unfortunately.

Regarding WAMS - great tool, and it shows DOC land, but not all DOC land is available for hunting.

I think the WAMS "hunting" areas are from Fish&Game - they are yet to incorporate DOC hunting areas.

    Geocortex Viewer for Silverlight

Wams boundries are not correct where I hunt, DoC land is actually leasehold
All those with dogs waiting no longer fear death. Those with many dogs waiting even welcome it in it's time.

I think there's a link on WAMS where you can provide feedback and point out such errors. Please do so to improve the accuracy of info for everyone else.

you would think that these cunts, who are paid by US would have some kind of clue as to what they are doing. I get so pissed off with the bureaucrats wasting so much of OUR money.Same as the police and the FAL process. We pay for such crap service from these useless pricks
