Clearly hunting and trapping has been around for millennia and by far pre dates Roxanne selling her body to the night. Man (and woman) needed sustenance to survive as a species and that came from scavenging the already dead victims of the predators of the time and foraging around for whatever else he could find that was edible. Soon after this stage man learned to become a predator himself by copying the hunting techniques of other predators and then eventually developing crude weapons to aid the hunt. Way after this some smart woman decided to withhold nookie unless her man produced the meat for the table. Eventually a bunch of these girls got to conniving ways that they could make a living out of this activity. It is quite clear your honour that the bear had been skinned long before the man got fleeced.
