    Dog first aid kit.

Hey lads and ladies, just gettn into pig hunting and am wondering what people keep on their belt or bag that they have actually used to patch a dog up untill you get to the truck or vet.

    I currently have a

    Stapler
    Small pack of celox
    2 expanding foam mice
    Gause pad
    Tape
    Bandage
    2 small saline

    Cheers !!!!

Expanding foam mice..... Lots of duct / insulation tape, razor, leather or rubber booties if they rip a pad out.

Ahhh, bit of a myth... Check out how much actually material there is vs an Israeli bandage or similar (rather a roller bandage taped on)

Antihistamine tablets, in case they get an allergic reaction to something like Onga Onga etc...

Maybe tweezers to pull out any pointy things, and maybe a pair of latex gloves in case your hands are bloody from a critter, so you don't introduce blood borne nasties into any wound.

Don’t get to carried away with gear keep it small , Good selection of hyperdermic needles & holder , iodine is Wright up there even just 100ml get that on straight away , you can really put a good deep stich in using needles if u need to or tie off a vein if ur desperate , bandage , done , save the stapler for when you get home & can clean & trim things up properly.
    Good luck

Tampons are a bad idea. They are only designed to hold a small amount of blood, and if they come apart in the wound will spread crap everywhere. Use a proper wound dressing, ripped off sleeve, anything at all else instead.
