The madness begins now for me,overtime that isn't over time because of stat days two weeks in a row :(
On wages? Working a public holiday pretty sure you're due your full day @ ordinary hours (8 hours) for just turning up, plus OT for the worked time (i.e. 0.5 hourly rate x actual hours worked) plus a lieu day on top. technically OT plus an extra day. Check the holidays act.
I already have 45 days leave owing!! Our latest employment contract states "hours outside of normal business hours" shall be paid at overtime rates. So a small win for us there as previously always been salary. I managed to get 5 days off from 5th thru 10th Jan only because my overseas visitors are here then.
Working till the 24th. Got from 25-5th off. Taking Mucko and Big foot for a nosey in Te Puke and i hope to do some fishing.
Booked two weeks end of feb start of march to chase some marlin:D

Only taking stats as have 2weeks off when the 1st ones due in feb, giving the house a spring clean this weekend in preparation.
Xmas will be getting up early and taking the dog out then low key with family (as I prefer). But have permission for a few days recon of some spots of interest (day trips from Chch) and possibly trying to hook a trout on the way.
Im off to the states and Hawaii for a few weeks tonight. Merry xmas and New Years fullas! :P
I feel bad saying it but wrapped up on the 19th and not back till the 12th January. Christmas with the little one and her indoors, not too shabby really. 1 year Anniversary on 31st so probably out for a nice dinner. Throughout that time think i will be taking a little walk past spooks place on the way to slay the venison, with any luck :-)
Mind you in need of some r and r time, been a busy year 2014!
Working right through, more days in Lieu and OT makes for more hunting in the new year.
Finish work on the 24th and return on the 5th if I am not required to head into the other site at tauriko to drive a dump truck, going to try and get some surf casting in and meant to be heading off to mucko's with my son for a bit of gong bashing and possibly a rabbit shoot. Won't be doing any bush bashing while my son is up here, which reminds me I have to send my hunting permit for the tauranga city council catchment back in for countersigning to make it official.
pulling tits right though every day bllahhhhhhhhhh .Holiday in june if we are lucky
Just finished work for today back Monday but heading out tomorrow to help the old farmer that lets us shot on his place. He's a wee bit older now and cutting his fire wood and doing he's heavy jobs most weekend brings a smile to your face. And it's best to work over Xmas because no one likes sitting in traffic with every onelse thinking its a holiday
Well I just got asked to visit a factory, on xmas day.
The joy of dealing with a country where xmas is not really a thing
Finish midday on 24th. Maybe sneak in for a fallow hunt before Gibo plunders the place.

Stolen sheep found crammed into van "
Two Gisborne youths have been charged with theft after police found 22 sheep crammed into a van early this morning.
The sheep were found in the Mitsubishi L300 van after police tracked the vehicle to a Rimu St property after it was driving suspiciously in the city around 2am today.
Senior Sergeant Maui Aben said police were alerted to the van after a patrol car saw it do an illegal u-turn in the central city and then being driven erratically. Police attempted to follow it, but lost sight of it. A quick search of the area led police to the Rimu St property and the van was found parked in the backyard.
Mr Aben said despite the 22 sheep being “packed in like sardines”, they seemed in good health and did not appear distressed. They were taken into the care of the Gisborne District Council’s animal control unit.
It was not known where the sheep were stolen from, but police were researching ear tag information on the sheep. Anyone who is missing sheep in the area is asked to contact police.
“Rustling is a major problem for rural areas not just in the Tairawhiti area, but all across the country. It impacts heavily on our local communities and stock losses place a heavy financial burden on our farmers. This activity will not be tolerated and police will be coming down hard on anyone who steals stock,” Mr Aben said.
The two youths aged 16 and 17 are due to appear in the Gisborne Youth Court today.
