Also, I’ve don’t the sky tower stair run before.. my advice is to head to a multilevel car park building and go up/down the emergency stairwell for 10 mins. Rest then repeat, again and again. Also it’s super dusty in there so if you can handle it, wear a neck gaiter over your nose/mouth.
Cheers mate I'm doing it in Ba so dust won't be a issue
Over an hour to the nearest parking building so the hills will have to do, thankfully I'm reasonably fit, work out all year round.

Ohh you’re doing the fireman one… sheesh, good on you. I was just doing the run as fast as you can one. Managed it in just over 9 mins which I was happy with. Good luck and have fun mate.

15m 37s donned and started a while ago. It’s the heavy steel cap gumboots that suck it out of ya.

    That’s impressive!
I felt like I got slowed down quite a lot by groups of old ladies doing it at a snails pace. I was too polite and slowed down, said excuse me etc.. Figure you don’t have the same problem doing it with firefighters hah!
15 mins in all that kit.. yikes.

Pretty runs the smaller tank to save weight but says you have to be smart with your breathing and faster so you don't run out haha

Was a great little night out, the track was steep n narly outta the creek & non existent up the tops plus combined with some shite weather but we teamed up & knocked it off, Hunts is a proper trooper n just keep going.

We were all pleased to arrive at the hut though, dry clothes, a decent hot feed, a fire & some laughs what more could you need.

I did get a rude awaking during the night where water was running on my matt, thought Hunts might had decided to do a "top bunk wizzer" but turned out he was fast asleep n his water bottle had tipped over hahahaha
