IMO what is basically a lobby group working alongside the likes of the NZDA can only be a good thing for hunters. couple that with the excellent hunter training resource they have made, the map program they've been working on and I am pretty hopeful about them.

DOC for the last forever has not been interested in hunting and has clearly seen our various game species as pests only.

I dont hate them - I just dont see the need for them and at tax payers expense - we already as tax payers pay for DOC and DOC does administer all Public Conservation land - they should do more - I am hopefull this new Govt might ramp things up for hunters -we will see -what is scary is with major cuts to all Govt Departments incl DOC who funds this GAC and how - I find the whole thing damn scary- my last on this - just watch out thats all I can say - pay for permits next to fund GAC I bloody hope not
