Getting back into an old favorite

It took me a bit to get back into one of my old favorite spots, tried getting in when Lucy was over us but there was a tree across the road, next few weekends after that the weather was far to calm. Friday morning finally everything come into line and I was off, getting my gear on at the carpark I discovered I'd bought the bolt for the P14 instead of the .308, I wont repeat the language here but I was a very grumpy little chap.

Anyway this morning I decided even though the weather was still a bit calm I'll still go for a look, theres definitely still a very healthy population of deer in there, it was also the first time I've seen wallabies in this spot to which I was a bit gutted about but inevitable. Heard a couple of shots not far behind me as well which was a healthy reminder that I'm not alone.

Had a bloody good walk with a ton of sign, I did come across an animal (I assume) in the scrub, hard to say how far it was but easy inside 50m, just far to thick and swirly wind to make an attempt at getting closer.

About as good as the vis gets

Literally everywhere I went I could look around and see a good fresh print

Whistled my way back down through the scrub to the track only to pop out on a group of startled looking asain tourists

Just cant wait to get a stink arse weekend and get in there with all the right gear
