I can see some anti crowd wanting to ban that add how long will it take you reckon
Nice add - they're probably still an average ute. :-)
Thar you were a week early buying your new truck.
Nice ad but they'll have to prove themselves to get their good name back
Yeah, nah. Certainly not any more, hasn't been for decades.
Thanks for the link dale, that`s brilliant.
Add must be for the Auckland market where if you buy all the toys the animals will just fall at your feet.
Bloody funny ad I reckon. But yeah some greenies will want to ban it for some reason or another.
No sense of humour those vegetarians!
Good ad. Will appeal to a good kiwi bloke for sure.
Took the new hilux for a test drive last week and was quite impressed. I think they have got it right with this model.
It rode well with plenty of power and the clearance seems good compared to a lot of the competition.
I don't think it will need a lift kit as did the previous models if you wanted to use off road.
The other big thing I was interested in was the low ratio gearing and if it is low enough for good control off road. my 09 hilux doesn't hold well in 2nd gear in low box on steep downward terrain but this new model is quite a lot better.
I would be happy to own one.
Thinking of taking a new one for a drive when I am home next.
Heart was set on the current model but been hearing some good things about the 2016 model.

The new one's drive nice, but whoever did their interior design should have a hot poker rammed up their backside. Looks like they just stuck an I-pad on the centre of the dash
anyone know if the "photo' doing the rounds on fakebook of the next model is genuine???
bloody good add ,missus tried talking to me the other night when it was playing....told her how it was and needless to say she has been rejecting my advances ever since...was kinda worth it though
Its far too shiny & flash I'm gonna stick with my Surf least every thing stays dry .
Don't think the dog would like it .
Pretty classic. The ad agency they use must have had a change of heart from the time we approached them a couple of years back about getting involved with our TV series. At that stage, we were told something along the lines of hunting not overlapping with their core demographic and that it wasn't reflective of the Hilux brand.
Worked out for the best in the end though - would take our Amarok over a Hilux anyday!
id take any ute to and say it was the best if i got it for free but when i buy something I'm not going to have forever i like to get some money back when i sell it
Not just us saying it's the best, the Amarok placed in the top 2 of pretty much all the motoring magazines best ute lists of 2014 (the model we are using), splitting the top spot more often than not with the Ranger. Hilux was an also ran. Time may tell, the new model might have the goods, but personally, I think it looks pretty average.
Save your tears and buy a Landcruiser
Motoring magazines are often more interested in on-road performance and fancy gimmicks than off-road capability and long term durability.
Was NZ4WD Magazine. Understand that everyone has their preferences and respect that, but we've had three hunters and show sponsors now that have gotten behind the wheel of our truck, and then decided to jump ship to the Amarok. It's a pretty clever piece of machinery. Twice in the past two months I've taken it well beyond where the local farmer thought we'd be able to get it.
One thing I don't like about it though - it attracts the scumbags. Had about 10K worth of hunting gear stolen out of the back tray and the LED Light Bar pinched whilst it was parked up in Canterbury recently.
I think the ad is one of the best at the moment. It sure as shit beats kids screaming. I am still gonna get a ranger.
Hunting mate wanted.
Looking for a like minded person to share my best hunting spots.
I have my own (insert any ute other than a Toyota) and private land access. Always have heaps of spare .270 ammo. We can crack a can of Waikato at the end of our successful hunts together.
Fukn Yoo!!! Hoooo! 😆

Go Holden they the best lol
The Jan 2016 Australian 4WD magazine has tested the new 2016 Hilux against all dual cab competition and has it as number one I see. Betterer😆
Second mag I have seen the last couple days picking the new hilux as cream of the crop😆
Reviews prior to its release were shit and they have had a big turn around after.
Ranger was second. But all I can remember.
Opinion is the new lux is a huge improvement on the current one in many areas.
Can't wait to see one up close.
Thinking I may have one parked up my drive pretty soon😆

Ranger had slightly better ground clearance but once they found out @kiwijames drove one it was buggered😆

You lost me at reading Australian 4WD magazine. I didn't know they did a Little Golden Book picture book special
according to the spec sheets ranger has 50mm less ground clearance but 100mm more wading depth for all those times we drive our brand new utes up to the windows in water
