    Hunting Rimutaka's

    Hi there. I am a Wellington local and have done a bit of hunting in the Tararua's, Haurangi's and Ruahines but am keen to explore some new country. I have also been in the Akatarawas but have not yet explored the Rimutakas but have heard there are plenty of goats and a few deer round if you know where to go.

    Any info on road ends/ places to try would be greatly received. Keen for some meat!

    Most open creek beds hold them

    Especially on the wairarapa side and the main orongo valley
